Japan’s Orix Corp will invest over JPY 20bn (USD 176.3m) for a 49% stake in a clean energy joint venture with IL&FS, a spokesperson toldInfraAsia. The partners will expand IL&FS’ existing wind energy portfolio and develop solar capacity, they said in a 17 March statement.
IL&FS has a 1004MW wind project portfolio: 775MW is operational and the balance is under construction. A further 1GW is under development said chairman Ravi Parthasarathy.
